You know what I think I've figured out why Fuji shooters just use film sims and don't edit their RAWs I forgot how much of a time suck editing RAWs was and that it's really hard to recreate the in camera look that I really liked within Lightroom

Really hope it's a complete coincidence that I'm poking at infostealer code and also that someone is trying to get into my Facebook account that I have logged into in like two years Granted I'm doing the poking on a Linux system that isn't logged into anything and the infostealer is windows only so I'm probably just being paranoid

Not that this is going to make me stop shooting digital. Digital allows me more freedom to make stupid mistakes and not burn very expensive film. I mean I also went back to digital because film was getting very expensive and I felt like I wasn't capturing what I wanted and needed to re-learn the basics. Digital makes that easier

Oh dear going back to shooting digital after years of only shooting film feels like a regression. It's too sharp! There's too much detail in the RAW! I can recover pretty much everything! I can see why some Fuji shooters only shoot jpg with the film sims and don't even bother with RAW files. Granted today I was shooting on an actual GFX lens, had zero cloud cover so everything looks harsh as hell and I wasn't using the Pro Mist filter. I have a feeling that if I pick up a Pro Mist / Black Mist filter for this lens it's never going to leave the camera

Having a slightly slower lens as the main lens on my digital camera is going to force me to not shoot everything wide open Granted I can use the 65mm f/1.4 as my main lens but that thing is a huge chunk of glass and not to say, carry around a foreign country for a week

Not totally surprising given that it's July 4th but Mass State Police has three helicopters in the air over Boston doing loops over the Charles and the mouth of the harbor

Well I can add "talked to by Mass General Brigham security for walking through their open to the public property on my way from a public garage to the public street while carrying a camera" to my list of weird things that have happened to me while carrying a camera Trust me dude I just park in the garage near you because it's convenient. I'm not here to take photos of your campus

Just heard a reference to an MSP troop I've never heard of on one of the SOPS channels: Troop S It was in reference to the SERT team so maybe it's an alternative term for that
