@emma_cogdev @debruine Yep, same! What helps for me is not thinking about it as executive dysfunction, but reframe it as an unfortunate by-effect of an overall helpful set of attributes. Those ADHD-like traits include the ability to hyper-focus on tasks, which can be really helpful when sitting down with a serious research problem. (I appreciate that doesn't happen to the same extent for everyone, but I hope it is a benefit for you!)
