I need people to stop being short with Supper Mario Broth over inconsequential things, because they (Broth) bend over backwards to explain things correctly, plus they're too nice not to take even the rudest criticisms seriously.

I've said it before, but I really wish I had one avatar that I would be happy using across a bunch of different sites, rather than my current melange (2 Mario images, 3 Baba images, and a Deltarune image, at last count).

I think maybe it would need to be commissioned art? Just so it would A) feel connected to me and B) wouldn't feel disposable. If that's so, it will have to wait until $$$$.

I'm finally doing it! I'm finally going to write down every Looney Tunes quote that I have integrated into my brain as a useful response or reaction to something. I know, it's a relief for us all.

@jcolag@mastodon.social Yeah, I thought about trying to fold Data into the argument, but for me, he reads as a person first and foremost, and his "quirks" are more Star Trek's infatuation with the "ideal" of emotionlessness than a proper grappling with what constitutes a person.

Nerds wanting to make a Star Trek computer they could talk to, but never mind that Trek computers:

1) can say "insufficient data" or "unknown" or "please restate the question", and

2) don't try to carry on a conversation--query of fact in, declarative statement out.

(As always, there are a dozen better arguments against it than this, but I can't help it, the shows are right there.)

@vandorb12 @ami_angelwings Don't skip! Or at least I don't. Among several reasons: I've had shows sneak little changes, extra bits, etc. into the credits, so I like to be ready just in case.
