There are tons of retailers, including Amazon (Amazon has a pair of cheap 8 watt Baofeng HTs for just $42 with VOX - voice operated transmit - and earpieces, for example). You need an FCC license - no test, just a $35 fee for 10 years. FRS (Family Radio Service) radios are similar and don't need a license, but are limited to 2 watts and are intended for personal use. @mattblaze@federate.social I think she fell for the MAGA con hook, line, and sinker. It took the Epstein files fiasco for her to see that Trump, Johnson, and MAGA in general weren't what she thought. It's terribly hard to admit, even to oneself, that you've fallen for what you can now see was an obvious con. If she is really changed now, I have to give her credit. Compare to Nancy Mace, who was also repulsed by how the Epstein files were handled, but still finds it personally advantageous to keep with MAGA. She is truly revolting.
