dear,
— have you been to this factory?
— no.
— how many of them do you see?
— 10. Maybe 15. All are in workers’s overalls.
(Sound and karaoke.)

— is there any visible aim?
— they are going through the hallway of the workshop building.
— is there any visible aim?
— machines are surrounding them. [*]
Rhythmic sounds, karaoke lines being sung while waiting, walking, while-being, repeating the everyday, memorising patterns, screaming riffs, pronouncing instructions, whispering secrets needed for community safety… Rhythms of revolution that seem to be in the past. Last months we spent a lot of time with materials that evoque feelings of loss - in public we say that revolution is not over, its temporality is not linear, but what do we feel while pronouncing it? [**] We started to dig in an (unexisting?) archive of revolutionary events in Belarus 2020, looking through hours of amateur (but who is not an amateur during the revolution?) videos. As it was developing, we replaced all visuality with almost-not-moving images of a new district of the city we used to live nearby: empty streets, empty playgrounds, not-yet-ready roads and block houses. They are forming an uneasy temporality of the co-presence at the distance, together with loud slogans and not that loud breath of someone else. You can join anytime from your streets and chant in an empty - or maybe if someone else is there too - not-that-empty audio-conference: https://rhythms.eeefff.org/ [***]

** We were entangled in this temporality several times during last years: https://eeefff.org/en/projects/tactical-forgetting.html and in a text (https://www.ecology-attention.mmpraxis.com/contributions/eeefff/). As well as in events we co-organised as members of Work Hard! Play Hard! working group, together with Aleksei Borisionok and Olia Sosnovskaya.
