The only silver lining in all this is that these fucks will have dumped billions, possibly trillions, into tech they never understood just to end up pretty much back where they started. Still doing substantial harm as they try to force it anyway, but they’re not going to get the ultimate results they want, at least.

Am I reading this right that they’re still letting the program run even as they figure out how badly it fucked up their system?

We have to do this so we can improve the AI process. Their end goal is all LLM, no humans. Whether it’s feasible or not is irrelevant - anyone staying on is working against their own self-interest.

Look at the bit behind the top of his ear. In the og, it’s trimmed short. In the new meme, it’s untrimmed and curly.

They did a hardware launch perfectly for the Deck - Account of minimum age needed, and a queue to buy as devices became available. Why the hell did they go with the old, shit version that only serves scalpers that use bots to scoop up every item?

It's felt pretty obvious to me for a while now. Everyone just mocks them for mistake after mistake, but after a while, even incompetence doesn't feel like a reasonable explanation for the scope of their "failure". Even a fool will get things right *sometimes*. Getting *all* wrong answers suggests intent.

Considering the context, I think there’s a misunderstanding. That doesn’t mean “becoming rich/powerful/noteworthy”. It more likely means “Barely managing the essentials” - buying food, paying bills on time, sleeping enough. Everything in life becomes a struggle to overcome one’s own resistance, which in turn makes every subsequent task that much harder. The accomplishments you talk of are fantastic dreams compared to just making it through the day.

Really? I see it every time. *Bad thing happens in US*: "Of course it did. Where else could it?" *Bad thing happens outside of US*: "Wow. [Other Place] really acting like the US here." Apparently racism, violence, and most other human sins only exist in the US to some people. It's weird.

People kept coming up to talk to me [at Panera]

This is just...unimaginable to me. Who goes up to strangers at a chain restaurant? Especially one who is clearly busy? Unless you mean employees, which would be a bit more understandable, though still weird.

This is something I don't see talked about enough. The real reason CEOs and corpos are so blindly committed to making this happen is because they think the end result will be a fully automated workforce that will be far cheaper and 100% under their control.

I do think he's authentically pretty stupid, but I would also believe it's for money. He's had "moments of clarity" before, then changed his tune pretty quick. May be acting up again to get attention or some hush money.

[SOLVED] Custom Filter Help - Is it possible to condense url filters like I can for keyword filters?

Currently, I have some filters set up through uBlock to make my Lemmy browsing more tolerable. For keywords, I copied some scripts that look like this, with one line and each word separated by a vertical bar: lemmy.ca##article.row:has-text(/keyword|keyword|keyword|etc/i)

But the url filters I use only seem to work if they are separated into individual lines, e.g.: lemmy.ca##div.post-listing:has([href*=“url/”])

lemmy.ca##div.post-listing:has([href*=“url/”])

I was wondering if it’s possible to condense the url lines to make it a bit more manageable in the same way the keyword filter is.
