14 months since I pulled the plug on my Twitter account:
Mastodon — if it weren’t for hashtag subscriptions it would be low activity
Threads — More activity, but also it’s Meta and you can’t get that smell out of it
Bluesky — dead, mostly
Still, all are better than whatever Twitter has devolved to

I hear all these tech folks continue to point to Apple as a design-led org they want to imitate, then they proceed to push to released half-baked ideas out as quickly as possible for solutions to problems no one really has.
Meanwhile, Apple is notorious for not shipping before it’s ready and actually being behind the innovation curve. “We had that on Android/Windows years ago” is a common refrain, and yet Apple does just fine getting the design right first.
