@QuentinJuhel might i bring some interesting perspective on what networking actually is about hihi?
before network became synonim of capitalising (extracting value) from social relationship, it was a term used by black men worker in america to make solidarity and mutual support network in the work place (that made white people in power afraid). this history can be put in parallele to the ethymology of gossiping, which before it was used in a misoginistic way to mean bad negative women talks, it used to be about sharing oral form of knowledge in a situated and intimate way (folk medecine for abortion, who to trust in the village, etc), the misoginistic interpretation of gossip was a campain lead during the witch hunting in pre-modern england, because again people in power were afraid of those uncontralable network of radical information, in contrast with the "institutionnalised knowledge" made by the academics, the sciences, etc who were easier to control and gatekeep because of their centralised nature.
if you read either networking or gossiping as making your own intimate and situated network to share radical knowledge, it's actually very badass and fundamental to any practice that isn't self-centered, and want to reach for social change or mutual empowerment.
voila !!!!

"creative queer collective" oh you mean
* based on freelance practices, so based on the marketability and hype of their productions, leading to the commodification of queer struggle into an aesthetic or brand
* creating socio-economical traps by using terminologies and concepts that give a sense of safety or liberation from a system while perpetuating the same logic and biases of that system
* fake horizontality that without strong caring structures falls into exploitative, extractive and tokenisation mechanism of the most marginalized, often trans and poc.
* disillusioned empowerment when the collective get mainstream recognition that is used to hide unchecked self-criticality
* pushing forward the liberal logic of self-branding on individual identities as part of the work, participating into the vibe of "not being queer is uncool", leading to the coexistence of privileged young LGBTs having insecurities "they are not queer enough" while the visibly queers and precarious are getting killed and rights are being removed
* "a marketable image of resistance that leaves power structures intact"
im sorry babe but fuck "creative queer collective" i've been deceived enough and the wounds make me remember. i only believe in decentralized materialist liberation movements and autonomous structures for mutual support.

Hello it's grumpy doriane that is going to die on her hill of fuck AI and is about to lecture everyone with her new little tale.
Something i sometimes hear (from people who are mostly against uses of LLM for say artistic practice) is that for the boring annoying stuff like administrative hell if it can help let's use it. Because there is no point in romanticising this type of task that was made with the intention to be an obstacle (legal or medical application, whatever). And I get, if it help it help.
But i am worried that individual shortcuts (like GPT prompt and summary) in laborious task can, in the long term, participate to normalise the inhuman obstacle they are. If more people make it through admin hell by using AI while laws and system worsen in the rise of fascism, it gives excuses to set it as the new expectation for all people. Individuals shortcut in masses impacts collective systems evolutions.
It's a similar story than with any automatisation of labor we can think of: it creates unhuman standards for the other humans that doesn't have the automatisation.
I say individual because, as much as it can be a survival or necessary tactic, there is a tendency, or a temptation, to make us falsely believe it has been solved because we solved it for ourselve, thanks to a technique.

crazy how artists (not restricted to digital art but like all art practices) are particularly stuck in mainstream social networks like instagram because "we need it to brand our work to pay rent, so this became where we build our career" while more and more people are actually just leaving those platforms. it feels silly to imagine a bunch of artists shouting in the hypercapitalist ruin-to-profit-loop mainstream social network "look what i just made its my new project". i say that without judgment, as i'm on insta myself (though i don't post about work only shitpost & impulsive thoughts and pics), but the idea that "artistic practices become an obstacle to social change, in the big schemes of thing" (?) in that sense is really silly
