I was incredibly lucky today to have happened upon the amazing Ed Alleyne-Johnson busking in Chester. I've been an admirer for about 30 years. Was too shy to say hi but I tipped him well 😎
I'm attending Liquicity festival in the Netherlands in a few weeks and I'm actually getting excited about it. 3 (and a bit!) Days of camping and drum&bass!
Been getting loads of quite nasty memes 'recommended' to me on FB, probably because I had seen a few and doom-scrolled through the inevitably even worse comments.
I was so tempted to comment my disgust on a number of occasions but then I realised I was once again falling into the good old social media culture wars habits, so I merely reported a few pages and am going to snooze/ignore the rest.
I made a little mushroom video for Instagram of an amazing find yesterday - https://www.instagram.com/reel/CuH7Mw1IOzR/?igshid=NjIwNzIyMDk2Mg==
@darkobserver@ioc.exchange just for fun! Although of course I will be taking some USBs with me, you never know!
I didn't go to Glastonbury this year as, despite last year's being a really great fest, I wasn't in the best shape physically or mentally, and Glastonbury is not an 'easy' festival.
Seeing all the after posts has made me want to go back next year, although I might have to plan things properly.
@An0n@metalhead.club I've actually got a plastic one and it's been pretty good to me (had it over a year now). I mostly use it for foraged mushrooms but I've been experimenting with wild herbs and now berries 🍒
@An0n@metalhead.club wonderful! Perhaps I should move them from the dehydrator to the couch 🤣
As one of my coping mechanisms, I stopped watching and reading news at some point this year. It's actually been quite nice but aside from the recent events in Russia and that sub I literally know nothing that's going on right now.
