@HeptaSean @simondeutschl @astrodicticum du betrachtest aber da nur die Tage Ende Dezember (und da würde ich zustimmen). Das hat aber auch Folgen für die Tage im ganzen Winter, konkret: Mit Winterzeit geht die Sonne an 45 Tagen nach acht auf (7.12.-22.1.), ohne fast drei Monate lang (1.11.-25.2.). Also konkret: wochenlang den Schulweg im Stockdunkeln statt nur jeweils n paar Tage vor und nach den Weihnachtsferien.

@lexiconista@mastodon.ie Two other remarks: • You could add an example like "Tengo galletas, ¿quieres una?" to further illustrate the oddities of Spanish punctuation. (I got cookies, want one) • On sorting order: in German, ä (and ö/ü) isn't ordered after a, but as if it was ae. This is because if you don't have the Umlaut dots available, you'd replace them by an e. (Goethe is sort-of the same as Göthe.) So, München (Munich) appears in the dictionary after Mud but before Muf, as if it was written Muenchen.

@lexiconista@mastodon.ie very nice, cool! I have an addition to the emojis. The fingers crossed emoji 🤞 is culture specific. In German you'd say "I push thumbs for you" ("ich drücke dir die Daumen") to wish someone luck.

@onlytina@todon.eu @marcohackney@todon.eu I agree it's misleading, but what EU is probably referring to: you have the same rights in the other country as its citizens. (For example, when I was studying in France, there was some student subsidy thing, and because of EU rules, us Erasmus students were entitled, too.)

@teamtype @y6nH I wanted to suggest the same thing. Could you show how bad it looks to convince us backwards is better? :) And: couldn't it be slanted forwards but with the 3d stuff still seen from the left? I.e. "/ / T / E A M" ?
