@davidgerard@circumstances.run I would argue that there is usually no point in being multi cloud. It is possible with abstraction layers but what is the point of your service is up but your payment /data- / whatever- provider isn't and your service is in the end unusuable anyways.

@neil@mastodon.neilzone.co.uk not that I am a big fan, but from my personal experience right now in OT, folks working at big companies, in consulting or startup hopping will need to deal with the demand to use AI based SDLCs, etc.
Not sure if that counts as being left behind, nor how applicable it is to the wider market.
Just wanted to say that from my perspective, I didn't see such a massive push for Crypto or block chain. There was a push, but those things seldomly went beyond POC.

@david_chisnall Stockholders like any story that claims increased efficiency by firing people. It appeals to the irrationality of the market. Plausible deniability beats actual facts. Similar to firing a coach when a sports team is doing bad.

@nicole it fascinates to me how important that is to people. Shows how your socialization (I assume) impacts your habits at such a fundamental level that it can really destroy games. When I look back at my youth even that the directional controls are on the left side seems barely a standard, so I am always at the outside looking confused :D Is that a 'these games always worked like this' thing? Or growing up with the NES in general?
