Even if we're not shipping a new Raid, MoT invites you to visit a large slate of endgame content, the new Pantheon lineup, and even Gambit!

We generally want to avoid disabling abilities or weapons, especially for days like tomorrow, but we want to ensure your experiences aren't trivialized by the bug.

We'll get this fixed up as soon as possible.

Hey all,

Over the last few days we've been seeing some incredible videos where Guardians could down Raid bosses (well, any bosses) when combining Howl of the Storm (Titan Aspect) with a few well-placed shots from a Hunter's Golden Gun.

With Monument of Triumph launching tomorrow, we'll be disabling Howl of the Storm.

A few updates:

1\. Emblem art is being updated to include Rise of Iron and Monument of Triumph.
2\. For our Korean Guardians, we are also ensuring that you will qualify for the emblem if you began playing during Shadowkeep.

As a reminder, this emblem will be granted to qualifying players in waves.

Q) I haven’t played since before The Edge of Fate, what is the best way to level up and increase my power?
A) Freshly returning Guardians will start at 10 Power, but loot will drop at 300+ Power as a quick catch-up method -- we removed the catch-up chest in favor of natural drops! Pay close attention to the rewards that each activity grants to optimize your Guardian’s Power gain, as various activities and their respective difficulties reward different amounts of gear Power.

This will help you to push past the limitations of your older gear. Keep anything that you enjoy using but be open to replacing gear as your Power Level grows.

Q) What do all of these weapon perks do?
A) Most weapon perks offer informational tooltips. Hover over the weapon perk and it will tell you what it does. There are several community-made resources available that dig deeper on weapon rolls and perks. The best way to figure out how a weapon works is to use it yourself!

Q) I haven’t played in a while. Are my old weapons and armor still usable?
A) Your previous gear is a great starting point for getting back into Destiny 2. As you continue to play, you will earn new and higher Tiered gear that has increased stats, Armor Set Bonuses, and weapons with additional perks to select.

\- Slightly increase the time it takes to get ammo refunded when blocking

\- Strongholds will no longer allow for infinite blocking with Special Ammo swords
\--We've seen feedback that it felt bad to watch from your ghost as a team mate blocked for 3 minutes straight without reviving you or doing any damage to a given boss - sometimes we need you to go on the attack!

-Reduced ammo refunded by light attacks

Hey all,

In our 7k+ word Weapon Sandbox preview, we missed changes coming to the Praxic Blade on June 9. We're getting this added to the article now.

PRAXIC BLADE

The point of these changes is to allow the Praxic Blade to still act as a primary weapon when paired with an actual primary weapon, but to reduce the surplus of special ammo so that it cannot be paired as easily with another special weapon.

UPDATE: The issue affecting the Flamecaller, Mindsculptor, and Death's Majesty Sets has been resolved. Players with them equipped should now be able to log back into Destiny 2 without issue.

We are aware that the Initial Calibration quest from Arms Week is still present for players who were affected by yesterday's Guardian Games event page issue.

This quest can be safely ignored as it is not intended to be present in the current event and cannot currently be completed. We are investigating getting this quest removed from player inventories at the next weekly reset.

We're aware of an issue where Steam players who log out with the Flamecaller Set, Mindsculptor Set, or Death's Majesty Set equipped are unable to log back into the game.

The team has determined the cause of this issue and is actively working to resolve it.

Following this morning's Update 9.5.6 deployment, the Guardian Games event page and Tower podium were not showing as intended for some players. The Arms Week event was incorrectly shown instead.

The cause of this issue has been resolved and erroneous podium shields should be corrected over the next 24 hours. Apologies for the delayed start to Guardian Games.
