I have requested additional WFH days this week due to mild illness.
I guess SSH is disabled on the Broken-Screen-Mac.
A backup might’ve been useful, but my wife just can’t be arsed. Also, I’ve actually never had a Time Machine backup that was reliable or a Mac that didn’t complain about improperly ejected drives no matter that Finder removes them from the sidebar.
What we do have is close-ish mirror of the account on my laptop, so I’m Migration Assistanting from that.
Hopefully the apps won’t take up too much space.
As the old laptop refuses to connect to a display, and its display is knackered, really hoping I can SSH in to enable some kind of screen sharing.

12hr delivery got narrowed to 10m window. And it’s done.
Phoned the pharmacy about a repeat. The message says talk to pharmacy staff, press 1, talk to the prescriptions clerk, press 2.
Trying to do the right thing, I press 2. They tell me to talk to the pharmacy. Ask if I want the number. I should’ve just said no, and thank you, and ended the conversation.
But I waffled about it being a bit confusing and that I couldn’t know that I’d choose the wrong option because I felt guided that way.

I think all the documents will be fine in various cloud services.
It has apps and settings that might be interesting though. Like Office. I cancelled our subscription, but it *should* be available from her work account.
I should probably mention that Ebac fixed the washing machine under warrantee without any fuss or bother.

Not sure that the 6% saving is worth the stress of paying out to an e-card, going through the checkout process and not being entirely sure how to do it or if it’ll actually work, but it’s done.

As usual, my time calculator misfired. At 14:40, I figured I’d have a coffee before I loaded the car. I took the coffee outside to drink in between taking out the parcel shelf and seats and getting as many branches and twigs in bags as I could.
Then daughter found out I was going. There was a rug and a treadmill to go.
It’s about a 45 min drive.
At 15:13, I noticed the time was 15:13. Loaded the bags and zoomed off.

When we moved, we rejected a bunch of places that had 67mbps indicated speeds that were actually as low as 1 according to Openreach.
Kind of surprising that listings that do have good connectivity don’t shout about it.
Our neighbours complain about ~30, and we have to explain we picked the place partly for usable speeds.
Good results for the Liberal Democrats. I wonder if it’ll get reported much?

Wife’s MacBook Air M1 display busted by a child in the classroom. Apple want over £400 to replace it.
Plugged into my display via a USB-C multi-port thing that has HDMI, but it’s not showing up.
Dunno if some other kind of adapter would work?

Different skin colours that is simply never referred to.
One non-binary person. No issue from other characters with pronouns being used correctly by their father. I got a little confused going from series 1 to 2 because they’d changed appearance quite a lot … I thought they’d changed the actor but they just became more masculine between seasons.
So it’s dystopian, but in its world doesn’t have a lot of the stuff we’d need to be woke to.
Enjoyed Arcadia well enough. Not quite enough to recommend it. It’s more Survivors level TV than Andor.
Subtitled, so unless you speak Dutch, you have to put your distraction device out of reach.
Great architecture. Noisy-le-Grand was the star of the show.
