If you only come face to face with your own mistakes once or twice in your life it's bound to be extra painful. I face mine every day—that way they ain't usually much worse than a dry shave. It's a fine world, rich in hardships.

@prism@infosec.exchange The way I described it is that when I watched TNG and DS9 I knew every characters name and was invested in their names and their motives and wanted to tune into be a part of that. In the new shows (not just Academy) I can't name but maybe 3 characters in Discovery and absolutely zero in Academy. But what I don't remember is if it was the case in the first season so maybe it just takes time. But I gave Discovery time and the character building never came. Maybe not writing but format

Every day I feel like the ability to peacefully disagree with someone gets harder and harder. Everyone's so aggressive. I feel like when I was young you didn't have to agree with everyone and you could still peacefully coexist. Why is everything so serious?
My friend said they're testing GLP-1s on drug.addicts and it's having the same craving suppression for them as it does for food addicts. Could.you imagine that? It would help so many people. And alcoholics?? My mom died of alcoholism! I wish she would have had it. It would probably drastically reduce homelessness too. I hope we keep discovering positive things like this and move closer away from how horrible the world is right now.
Watching Traitors with my wife.. I get tired of it pretty quickly but she loves it so here I am. Happy wife happy life! I really want to go play War Dogs though 😂
