In case you haven’t seen this yet, I appreciate how much this encapsulates the exact reason the fight to add a public access requirement to the cable monopolies 50 years ago—an outlet for talented and hard working enthusiasts to provide an alternative to corporate control of media

@mattblaze@federate.social I had the same epiphany this year, when I happened to be at Knott’s Berry Farm’s theme park and saw their big Berry Festival display—a cornucopia with oversized vines, and berries, and pies adorning their entrance windmill. While a few miles down the road, the competitor’s park celebrates a rodent, that would eat away at the plenty on display (obviously, amusement parks and their multinational owners make the symbolism a little less effective, but still…).
