Dear @gendx@infosec.exchange I read your article (https://gendx.dev/blog/2026/07/13/input-digits.html) about the whole AGOV access dilema with the french AZERTY keyboard. I found that quite intriguing that they rely on keyboard interception. I myself also had some problems with AGOV access in that the app would detect my graphene os phone as rooted, although that clearly isn't the case. The funny part is the that the Swiss Federal Chancellery apperently already wants support for gos, but the company hasn't yet said until when it's done

@Larvitz@burningboard.net Ja das ist so ne Sache, hoffentlich kann das immerhin vernünftig reguliert werden, ich meine man sollte ja aus den Problemen seiner Nachbarn lernen. Wird sicher aber auch wieder knapp werden, siehe "Nachhaltigskeitinitiative" 45% Ja zu 55% Nein.

@Larvitz@burningboard.net That's not what I meant. Graphene Os is a custom android based rom, that has all the features regular AOSP has and even more like storage scopes (not every app needs access to all files), contact scopes (whatsapp doesn't need to know about contacts that don't have whatsapp, etc.). It also has the ability to have different profiles just like you want. It also allows you to re-lock the bootloader after installing it and it also hardens security a lot compared to stock android.

@Larvitz@burningboard.net I mean it may be nice in terms of repairability. But one thing really annoys me, especially on stock android: Google is just there and you almost can't do anything about it. Google knows where you are at all times. Google has system (root) access to your phone, but you don't. For me the only real solution (without sacrificing usability) is using Graphene Os, there you can still use most apps, except some that require strong Play Integrity (a stupid Google attestation system).
