So the 12th of August there will be a (total) solar eclipse on the northern hemisphere. In the Netherlands it will be covered for about 90%. This is your reminder to get some eclipse glasses for yourself, and solar filters for your cameras, telescopes and what not :)

@kenny_baas@mastodon.social the subject was only hushedly spoken about - particularly in my presence - so I can only guess. Nor do I know how they came back from that one. Good in this regard meant accurate tax reports; a characteristic going AWOL during the rewrite of the rewrite of legacy^*. Half a retrospective would at least have suggested looking into this direction. *: legacy turned out more neatly organized/architected than any of the rewrites.

@kenny_baas@mastodon.social its absence - or perhaps the absence of a proper conversation surrounding it - had been a contributing factor to the near-bankruptcy of two companies (supplier & consumer) I was working with at the time.
