@reflex@retrogaming.social Good point! The ergonomics are terrible. My elbows and wrists are constantly bent to hold it in one of the proper positions, and it might just be me, but I'd swear it keeps getting heavier.

Working theory: parents actively involved in raising young children are less likely to be enthusiastic about AI, since repeating the same set of instructions over and over only to have them forgotten, ignored, or abandoned partway through is already way too much of our lives.

@thibaultamartin@mamot.fr @pojntfx@mastodon.social The Glove80 isn't vertical by default, but it's made to be hooked up to accessories to enable that. In my experience, though, it's comfortable enough that you don't really need much tenting, etc.

I used a Moonlander with the Platform add-on to do vertical for a while, and it worked well, but I concluded that vertical wasn't a net positive, at least in my case. The benefit of keeping your wrists neutral is offset by the strain of constantly suspending your hands in the air without a resting place, and over time that became a problem for me.

Ergonomics are very personal, though, so YMMV.

@hakona@alstadheim.no I guess I felt the credit was implicit, given that I mentioned being reminded of something, and that anybody at all familiar with xkcd would probably recognize the lettering, if not the exact text (both of which I obviously copied and pasted). Still, it's possible people mistook this as entirely original, which wasn't my intention. And it never hurts to be explicit.
