Except they had to get the keys, at least for Signal, as described in the article. Only you can allow a new device. If you get a notification for a new device and you go “sure, let me flash that code for you”, you’re giving the key. And a moron. Can’t say about the other services.

Especially if said denials comes after evidence that they’re doing it in the first place. I wonder what was their train of thoughts here.

the next generation “AGI” resulting from all the new datacenters will repay the trillions invested. Too bad we don’t have the slightest clue on how to do that, except that it won’t work with LLM alone.

Oh, people didn't like the idea of giving their ID to third parties? Let's move up to irreplaceable body parts. Next step: your fucking blood. Good luck declaring that one stolen when the database inevitably leaks.

Because in the end, you, the person that is forced to use various AI chatbot/agent/model/whatever, will be held responsible for anything that happens after one of the 3000 decisions they imposed you to make with no way to check everything turns out to cause the slightest problem. When that happens, YOU were supposed to know that NOTHING the AI tells/says/do is to be expected correct, so it's your responsibility if something's gone wrong.

That would be a good way to do it, if the goal was to be able to restrict/protect kids. Unfortunately, this have very little to do with that.

I have a printer that works. B&W laser printer from Samsung. It survived multiple windows update, and still works on Linux. Guess that's why Samsung discontinued their printer business and sold it to HP.

do they think people will keep expressing these kinds of opinions publicly? Oh course not

People are already pushing all kind of extreme and suspicious opinions on multiple websites under their "official" name that can be found on their ID. This won't change. And the risk isn't people stopping saying thing at one point; it's the list of "allowed" topics changing over time, then going back to older content.

They also could be fixed, sometimes trivially. Now if the plastic over a button isn't the right one, things stop working.

Bluesky leadership: slightly worse than JD Vance. It must not have been easy for them to reach that, but what an achievement.

Post is about someone going to home depot

Post is SO NOT about going to home depot. Not even close. The exact same post would have achieved the same goal with any other name. Have you even glanced at the picture?

And there's never been any kind of international cooperation between law enforcement ever, anywhere.

Hey, I’m using that. It works fine. …well, I have little to no expectations from a launcher beyond “can have pages, shortcuts, widgets, and hide apps”, so there’s that. It got a few visual customization regarding icons and grid size, and so on. The biggest praise I can give them is that nothing seemed out of place or annoying.

When what passes for the leader of the “free world” is a spearhead for pedophilia it’s kind of a bit late to be safe talking about “normalizing” stuff.
