It genuinely pains me to my core to put on the mask for professionalism and formality. There's just, something about the way people talk when presenting themselves in a professional capacity that makes me want to gouge my eyes out. The thing that really takes the cake is fake enthusiasm and friendliness. That really makes my skin crawl. Also, why do we have to constantly make ourselves look like we have no hobbies or free time? I'm unemployed, I have A LOT of free time. Want me to work? Pay me.

I took a listen to what I had, unchanged from yesterday, and suddenly I think I like what I did again. Crazy how just listening to the same song over and over makes you hate it, but coming in with fresh ears, and I think it sounds good. I might redo a couple guitar parts, it's not sloppy, but there is a sustained note that doesn't ring the way I would like it and a slide that I don't think belongs at the end. This is gonna be a belated Mario day release.

Wow! Very cool open source tool created by the Corridor Crew. It's a neural network for keying green screen shots and it works extremely well. This is a good example of what "AI" can do to support human creativity. The point is not to automate the creative process. It is to reduce the timeline to get to the creative process.

So I worked on that remix a bit more today and, idk, I don't particularly like the guitar portion anymore. It's tough working on something you have no vision for. It is better now than before but I might change more, and embellish more. I was thinking of sharing a bit of it and asking for feedback on loops.

So I listened to my remix with fresh ears today and I think I'm cookin'. I just need to record better guitar parts. I just recorded some things to see what it would sound like, so it's pretty sloppy, but sounds pretty good. Definitely a huge step up from where it was, but it is quite a bit different from anything else I've made.

Ok, so I did make some changes to that remix, but now I'm trying to add a guitar portion. Not sure if it will work out, but the new pace of the song calls for something noisier than the synths I've been using. I think I should call it a day though, my fingers are sore, I don't play all that often so I need my fingertips to get calloused again.

One of these days, I might stream music prod I guess. I am still very amateur though. But I do wanna play some games soon. We'll see.

Ugh, been working off and on, on this remix of a Yoshi's Island song and I just feel like it's missing something. I mean, yeah, I know it's meant to be looped, but idk. It kind of feels like it wants to go somewhere interesting but just ends up sounding very bland. Like what made the Fear Factory remix I made sound so cool (to me) was the pause into the slow arpeggio section, that part has this really big sub bass that just feels amazing when you get to it. Nothing of that sort in the Yoshi song

This is how I spend my free time. People like this make my skin crawl. And the fact that a church of all things is literally evicting economically disadvantaged people from their homes should be met with a lot more outrage.

There's no fucking way being as exhausted as I currently am is normal. I know it could be my allergies, I am polysensitive, which means I don't get the benefit of having "seasonal" allergies like other people. I have year round allergies just as severe, every day of the year. However, I don't think it is my allergies, but jfc, I would need a literal team of scientists and doctors to figure out wtf is wrong with me.

Hey, so, it seems stupid but burgers are in the news recently and I actually have something to say about the meat industry. I used to work in the industry in a more tech-related context, but I was able to get a glimpse of the logistics. I watched, first hand, how burger patties are manufactured and what actually goes into that. The supplier I worked for supplied beef patties for just 1 multi-regional fast food chain in the US. They produced an average of 100,000 pounds of patties every day.
