@GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social that is absolutely true. It's been interesting to see how vastly different outcomes different people arrive at while having the same models. My current assumption (and let's be honest, it will evolve too) is that LLMs make code "cheaper" and you'll get a lot of value just prototyping or exploring different avenues previously you'd have to imagine but also they don't solve the engineering portion. I'd rather have sane limits and good engineers than vibe-coders.

@NanoRaptor@bitbang.social regardless of profession everyone that enters will now have their proficiency judged against AI. I'm worried about the lack of reaching potential because of this reliance that we undoubtedly will put on people.

@fastmail@mastodon.social also, re-writing your entire stack just because a fancy new shiny thing over there is made is a terrible engineering choice. Why throw away all the work it took to sort out the product just to reintroduce the one line bugs you battled with.
