@quillforall@mastodon.social I love this project, I just wish I could use some of the cooler AI features that I think you have to have a paid subscription for, sadly. :(

@quillforall@mastodon.social just to let you know, you have no bio. I personally know what Quill is, but you might want to put up a bio so other folks know what your project is and such. ✨

I saw this joke on a telegram group I'm a part of, and it made me lol pretty good.
There once was a conductor named Bill. Bill led a well-known orchestra and had a reputation for being absolutely perfect.

One evening during a performance, Bill made a tiny mistake. No one else noticed—but he did, and it ate at him.

At the end of the show, Bill turned to the audience, bowed, and said, “Folks, I’m retiring. Tonight was my final performance.”

He stepped off the podium… only for two big stagehands to grab him and say, “Oh no you don’t—back to work!”

The next night, Bill tried again. After the performance, he announced, “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m retiring—again!”

With that, he pulls out a gun and shoots the tuba player dead. The police arrive, arrest Bill, and take him to jail.

Months later, Bill was sentenced to the electric chair. The night before, the warden asked what he wanted for his final meal.

Bill said, “A dozen bananas.” When they were brought to him… he refused to eat them.

At midnight, they flipped the switch. Sparks flew, lights flickered—but somehow… Bill was still alive!

Since his sentence had been carried out, they had no choice but to let him go—and those same stagehands were waiting.

“Back to work!” they said.

The next night, Bill was back conducting like nothing happened. After the show, he once again announced his retirement.

With that, he pulls a grenade from his coat pocket, rips out the pin, and tosses it into the orchestra. It explodes, killing the entire violin section. Once again, Bill ended up back in prison.

Before his execution, the warden asked him what he wanted. “A dozen bananas,” Bill replied.

The bananas arrived… and once again, Bill refused to eat them.

This time, they cranked up the electricity even higher. The switch was thrown—BOOM! Sparks everywhere!

And yet… Bill was still alive.

They let him go… and sure enough, those two stagehands were waiting outside. “Back to work!”

By now, Bill was completely fed up. After the performance, he pulls out a bazooka and says “To hell with you all!” and fires into the audience. There is a huge explosion. The concert hall comes crashing down, killing thousands.

He was arrested again, tried again, and sentenced to the electric chair one final time.

The warden asked, “Last meal?” Bill said, “A dozen bananas.”

They brought them… and once again, he didn’t eat a single one.

This time, they hooked up everything—enough electricity to power a whole town. The switch was thrown… and the entire room exploded.

When the dust settled, the warden dug through the rubble and found Bill—still alive.

Staring in disbelief, the warden asked, “How is this even possible?!”

Bill sighed and said, “I’ve been trying to tell you… I’m a bad conductor.”
