I've always taken issue with the word "hallucination" to describe LLM behavior. LLMs don't hallucinate. Your coworker who can't say "I don't know" ain't seein corner demons in the conference room. They both bullshitting you. Unless the corner demon is actively telling your coworker what to bullshit. Then they're hallucinating.

Or maybe chatty-G pilot was the conference room corner demon all along. I slept fine last night, shut up.

Opinions on LLM tooling use seems like driving, at least as it's seen in the US.

Anyone going faster than me is too fast and dangerous, anyone going slower than me is too slow and hazardous.

Anyone using AI for more than what I'm using it for is an idiot, and anyone using it less than what I'm using it for is hampering themselves and the team.
