Grok floods X with sexualized images of women and children
The AI tool Grok is estimated to have generated approximately 3 million sexualized images, including 23,000 that appear to depict children, after the launch of a new image editing feature powered by the tool on X, according to new analysis of a sample of images.[1]
The image-generating feature exploded in popularity on December 29th, shortly after Elon Musk announced a feature enabling X users to use Grok to edit images posted to the platform with one click.[2] The feature was restricted to paid users on January 9th in response to widespread condemnation of its use for generating sexualized images, with further technical restrictions on editing people to undress them added on January 14th.[3]

Off-duty Twin Cities officers among those "targeted" by ICE agents looking for proof of U.S. citizenship, chief says
Off-duty police officers in the Twin Cities have been “targeted” by federal agents looking for proof of U.S. citizenship, Brooklyn Park Police Chief Mark Bruley said Tuesday. Bruley was among several law enforcement leaders who expressed their concerns at a press conference that Operation Metro Surge is leading to “civil rights violations in our streets.”
He added that in the last two weeks, as community members have been submitting “endless complaints,” that several of the officers in his department had also been stopped by federal law enforcement. “Every one of these individuals is a person of color,” Bruley added

Whistleblower drops 'largest ever' ICE leak to unmask agents: 'The last straw'
“It is a sign that people aren’t happy within the U.S. government, clearly. The shooting [of Good] was the last straw for many people," Dominick Skinner, ICE list founder, told The Beast.
Information included in the new leak includes around “1,800 on-the-ground agents and 150 supervisors. Early analysis by the organization suggests that around 80 per cent of the staff identified remain employed by DHS,” according to The Beast.

Vietnam Bans Unskippable Ads, Requires Skip Button to Appear After 5 Seconds - Saigoneer
As Phụ Nữ reports, Vietnam recently announced Decree No. 342, which details a number of provisions to the national Advertising Law, due to take effect from February 15, 2026. The adjustments are expected to place stricter control on Vietnam’s online advertising activities to protect consumers and curb illegal ads.
Amongst the decree articles, some standout stipulations include a hard cap on the waiting time before viewers can skip video and animated ads to no more than 5 seconds. Static ads must be immediately cancellable.

My knee jerk reaction was to say something smart ass like “well they should get a computer” but you’re absolutely right.
The customer service woman I talked to was surprised I could talk to her and browse the internet (on a laptop). She told me most people use their phone for everything. I met college kids who were typing their papers on their phones. My mom never owned a computer until I gave her one, and she leaves it in the corner “for emergencies”.
I have no answer. People will continue uploading their lives into Google photos, Facebook galleries, whatever - with no backup, and hope those companies store their data. I think the average person is fucked.

This is going to sound shit but I don’t care.
I can’t stand talking to morons. I talk matter-of-factly. I explain the problem. I say “Do you want X, Y, or Z? I’d recommend Z.” And these idiots still reply with vague no-answers and then I get shit on because I point out their stupid behavior.
Anyways, now things are better because I just use AI slop to fix my writing and send that garbage to them.
And you know what? It fucking works. If their answer is still vague garbage, I repeat. Copy their slop, put it in ai, tell AI to give a professional response, paste that slop right back until I get an answer.
It’s been saving me a dozen headaches. And chances are these fuckalls are using AI already so fight fire with fire.
