I still have no idea how to make good use of Mastodon beyond following hashtags and using hashtags. Bluesky is actually working on tools to compartmentalise my experience, help me get my posts noticed more easily (I hope) and maybe in the future, integrate it with websites I visit. I really just want my online worlds in fewer spaces, but spaces that I can curate, control and not have my every move turned into data or be bombarded with ads. That's something I would pay money for. I'm copy pasting everything I post on Bluesky onto Mastodon for those who prefer it, but this still feels like a social platform that's given us a level playing field and then you're on your own to figure out the rest. If it doesn't keep innovating and competing in the coming 1-2 years, I can see myself only using Bluesky. The only thing I like about Mastodon more than Bluesky is the far bigger character limit for posts, but with another server or client, that's something Bluesky can easily fix.
