@troberts@theblower.au If you asked a 100 different philosophers the question "What is intelligence?" you would get 100 different answers. That's how the similarity of AI to real intelligence can stay forever undefined.

So far, using ChatGPT plus, there have been around 40 times I verified manually the info it has given me. This was mostly historical, medical and IT stuff. I verified by reading books, searching news articles, wiki, etc. All of them turned out to be true, except that twice it got the year wrong by 1 year. So, pretty trustworthy. The condition: you can't pose it leading questions! You should ask "are there any examples" rather than "give me all examples ...". #AI #ChatGPT

@MarkusEicher@fosstodon.org This cannot be done right now unless you have a huge amount of knowledge and technical expertise, and even then the results would be far far away from anything that you get in quality from OpenAI. Edit: plus you would need expensive hardware probably.

@MarkusEicher@fosstodon.org It's possible ChatGPT already knows how to do that if you ask it to. If not, you give it instructions in the first prompt and it will follow those rules. Those instructions can be quite long, several pages of text I think. If it's an entire book you want it to know as training, then probably not. There aren't models trained for such specific tasks, I can tell you that for sure.

@MarkusEicher@fosstodon.org Well, if you mean just textual chat, you can achieve that right now by asking ChatGPT to roleplay as a patient and then having a conversation. The free version should be OK, but GPT plus ($20 per month) even better. Using voice to chat, there are many options, but I heard the Talk-To-ChatGPT chrome plugin is decent. You should just try them out see which you like best.
