"On a low-level is Lemonade has gotten rid of its Electron dependency. Tauri is an alternative cross-platform, open-source framework for building desktop and mobile apps using web tech while leveraging Rust on the back-end. In replacing Electron with Tauri, the SDK is now "10x smaller" than before. pre-built macOS and Windows binaries were 101~107 MB with 10.2 and are now 7~9 MB with Lemonade 10.3."
Can AMD share how they did it? What was their DevX w/ Tauri?

@Merritt@mastodon.social Sorry for being unclear - is there a way for a QT app to expose to plasma-keyboard that the input mask is in X-Y range/ pattern/ charset. From QT6 docs it's unclear if that field description is available to [virtual] plasma-keyboard. I hope this makes more sense. Also, discord and mastodon, other web-based social networks allow for emoji input. Emoji input should be available to all desktop apps as well, text editor, konsole. I'll get out of your ears/ hair and go bugging someone else.

Would it be possible for an app to expose to plasma-keyboard a limited set of valid characters for the current focused field (numeric for phone number input, alphanumeric + some special chars for email addresses & domain names)? Could I use this as emoji / unicode input? Favorite chars/ charsets?

I wonder if a Cu or AL heatsink could be made to make contact with both ends of a module and the neighbor adapter such as all modules fit snugly in between the _fins_. Some thermal pads. I wonder if this would be a practical solution since that would require a high precision of the width of the metal fins and the two pads covering each fin and module / SOM adapter. Maybe with a giant fan on top would allow good cooling!?

Competitor BlueSky created DNS user verification challenge.
