the instability on pages.gay lately has been due to a DDOS. we’re getting DDOSes now, we’ve made it! lmao

To celebrate pride month, we’re changing git.gay’s logo ❤️ Happy pride!
as with most of git.gay’s other unexpected downtime, this was caused by a wave of spam requests. we’ve held off on implementing any PoW systems, since we feel they’re a bad user experience and since we don’t like them conceptually (it is trivial to bypass, the whole thing is so silly…) but it gets to a point where we may need to consider SOME active means of blocking spam requests, whatever that may be, besides ip bans after the fact as we do now. feedback is encouraged
git.gay is down at the moment, we're working on bringing it back up.
