Part of my job is interpreting and acting on vague statements like "replace this fence here" and it's sort of my least favorite part. You're telling me I have to make up a bunch of details and hope you like them? (Yes. It always goes fine in the end.)
Last week I got engaged! My fiancée Akhra isn't really on social media (other than the website league!) but she's absolutely amazing and has made my life and my transition so much better. The proposal was utterly spontaneous: these are the only photos that exist of it.
I'm pretty sure that the maximum number of trans women in a room that I've experienced is... Four? Myself included, to be clear. I noticed this and started thinking about it after hitting this threshold without trying to in an SF bar.
A durable habit I acquired on Cohost is using @nex3@mastodon.social 's letterboxd as a source of interesting movies to watch. She gets through a lot of movies and leaves excellent little notes.
Last night I watched Cemetery of Splendour, a Thai movie about some soldiers who mysteriously fall asleep and the women who are tasked with caring for them, and it once again proved the wisdom of this method.
