If you're trying to get away from LLMs...
While OpenBSD itself does not accept AI code, some projects which are developed as part of it (in particular tmux) appear to care less: https://github.com/tmux/tmux/commit/1c7e164c22a3cb21d1e281087cd4aaa489d72b84 - see their stance here: https://github.com/tmux/tmux/wiki/Contributing
NetBSD has held an anti-AI stance for the longest of all projects I'm aware of, but I think they will similarly run into the issue of key upstream projects adopting it. I mean, anything shipping, say, amdgpu will run into that problem.
If you really want to go down this path, MirBSD is the only one I've seen openly calling LLMs "fashtech", as opposed to arguments rooted in copyright. But that's extremely niche, probably more so than even Haiku.

Security is one factor. OpenBSD prides itself on it, but I wouldn't say it's particularly ahead of Linux overall in a practical, well-configured scenario. NetBSD is considerably less audited, and a C3 talk about BSD security was... scathing on it.
Software availability is another. Spent a non-trivial amount of time getting Minecraft to run on NetBSD. In general, more things will break, and there will be fewer documented fixes - unless you only use FOSS, and even then.
I recall OpenBSD having some performance issues at the time when running IntelliJ, which I think were fixable with enough tuning but I never got that far.
But I welcome trying it - it was certainly a valuable and fun experience until I realized more things work out of the box on Linux.

Could someone please test this newly re-enabled native AArch64 build of the emulator Mesen2 and leave a comment? I suspect that a fix I did to make the Linux builds work on newer Linux distributions may also have fixed that.

i think, fundamentally, the reason Claude and Codex are becoming part of crucial FOSS projects is the same reason xz almost became the entry point for mass-scale server hacking a few years ago. we've decided to make billion dollar industries rely on burned out, lonely individual developers who never found a way to get paid for their labor. we never managed to solve that problem.
these burned out, lonely devs see a tool that spits out the boring part of their work in a more or less functional manner if you squint, and it "only" (*) costs "$200" (**) a month. i can imagine why most people take it. heck, i won't deny that i am tempted myself, but my convictions remain too strong.
i've also seen some say that these people should step down and make way for new developers. who, exactly? i know how many months it took me to find a maintainer for one of the more popular Minecraft mods, and that's a position with both far more takers and far less responsibility on either side.
i think that a lot of what's going to happen to software in the next few years is the consequence of long term systemic issues. the introduction of LLM tools to the equation is merely an illuminant and accelerant
