Had an IKEA practically next door for years but today is the first time I tried their automated pick up thing. It's excellent. You go there, enter a code and after a while a door opens with your loaded cart on it.
@neil@mastodon.neilzone.co.uk Slight correction: whether resident or not, the private key is derived from the key material that lives inside the security key (Yubikey). The difference is that with a resident key, the information needed to derive the key is stored in the hardware too. With non-resident, that bit of metadata lives in the private key file. It's not actually a private key in there.
Honestly kind of impressed. Got a phishing message on Thursday pretending to be a login notification from my bank, listing a phone number to call. Looked up the provider and contacted their fraud department. Today, I got a response telling me the phone number was cancelled.
They'll probably pop right back up with a new one, but if it saves just one person from getting scammed, it still seems worth it.
