@mike@social.chinwag.org My 2013 iMac running Linux Mint with its i5-2500 CPU and 16Gb of RAM is still perfectly adequate for the rather demanding requirements of web development. To me, the only tangible benefit of modern computers is improved power efficiency.
And the newest game I play regularly is Mario Kart Wii.

@garythewilliams@mastodon.social I’ve tried most of them and found them mostly cumbersome or slow (in fairness my iPad is nearly a decade old).
However, Mastoot is lightweight and responsive and I find it really nice. The shame is that it is no longer updated.

@EdibleFuchsia These are amazing! If you had an Etsy store (or equivalent) and I needed this (which I might) then I’d probably buy.

@mquin @electron_greg It hadn’t occurred to me that the 48k version would run faster than the 128k. I’ll need to work out why that is (and it only happened because Fuse happened to load the TAP file in to a 128 machine).

@electron_greg Oh dear, not a great performance. It’s probably not written the most efficient way for the Speccy though

@electron_greg I’m going to try this on a ZX Spectrum tomorrow, although I expect it to be about the same as the ZX81

@PaulaMaddox@mastodon.social Probably better to leave the GH ones in place but delete the code and leave a note pointing to the new repos. I think there’s a proper way to do this. Otherwise anyone who has clones will lose the remotes.
