Last time I was in a store with a load of self serve checkouts, they had a person at the door checking peoples receipts, there was a queue of people.

So I just strolled by waving my receipt in the air and when she tried to stop me, I carried on walking saying... you either trust your customers or you don't and if you don't, your company should stop being cheap and pay staff to open the tills.

2 people in the queue... stopped queuing and followed me out.

Spent so much time on my knees the last couple of days (not in a good way either 😜 ) that I've taken more tramadol in the last 36hrs than I had in the previous 10 days. I have to be careful and ration them out, or the docs might take them away as they're an opioid.

I'm not allowed to take anti-inflammatory meds orally after stomach surgery 8yrs ago... and have a mild codine reaction if I'm on them too long.

So instead of taking painkillers for my pain. I only take them for 'extreme' pain.

#DIYDay for the trillionth time.

Carpet fitted, glued some vinyl down in the wardrobe section too, there's no base to the hanging sections of those... It'll be covered with the sliding oak doors anyway.

Plumber and electrician back in tomorrow... Sparky has to fix his fuck up where the fuckwit managed to drill into his own wiring. Quite what damage he's going to be making in my freshly plastered walls I have no idea... But I'm fucking pissed about it.

He's never getting hired again.

Given the repeated issues with the mastodonapp.uk instance for the last couple of months.

I think it's time I found another place. I appreciate the work the admins do and have donated several times. But the constant issues and unreliability make me concerned for it's longevity and I feel donating any more would be pointless.

Any suggestions for reliable instances?

A few things to point out here.

1: Laura Kuenssberg is not a proper journalist. She was installed in the position as the tories polluted the BBC with right wing supporters. She's incapable of asking real questions & simply parrots the PR line of whoever she talks too.
2: This probably wasn't a mistake, she likely tried to give him time to prepare for the 'soft puff piece to promote his book'
3: If they do get another interviewer who will be tough, Bojo will back out.

It can't make up it's mind if it will give me a Error code: SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP or work. But turn the vpn off and it works every single time and never gives any error at all. badly designed to restrict access to anyone who doesn't allow the bbc to harvest their data

If you travel back into the past, you can never travel back to 'your' present because the timeline you left is gone. You could only move forward within the new timeline you created by going back in time. So it means that making changes to events, won't affect the timeline you left anyway. So there can be no paradoxes. Killing your grandfather so you're not born means nothing because you've not been born in that timeline
