KTF Roman builds on KTF Metro Roman, originally developed for the Kyiv Metro Fonts project. The family includes Roman, Outline, Shadow, BlackWhite, and Color styles.
Based on archival drawings by Kyivmetropojekt and photos of 1960s Red Line station lettering, the project revisits anonymous, likely architectural authorship. It’s a tribute to designers whose work shaped the city’s visual identity.
The initial style flattened these forms; later, Yevgen Anfalov and Anna Kovalenko expanded them into spatial interpretations. Each style explores a different aspect—structure, light, depth, or color—reframing Kyiv Metro lettering as a contemporary display system.
