Folks, I'm moving to @amir@dragonscave.space and it takes some time for things to settle down. I'll also be sticking around here.

I'm exporting my data on Tweesecake, but Tweesecake doesn't allow me to export followers to a file. Is it normal? And I don't see an option on Drangscave to import followers, only the following list can be imported. Am I missing something?

When we say that unfortunately NVDA does not match JAWS in many areas of Microsoft Office, we should point to specific examples as well. I have Word files that contain edit boxes where users are supposed to write content. In NVDA there is no quick way to locate these edit boxes. Even with the MS Word Accessibility add-on, finding them is still very difficult and time consuming. But in JAWS they are easy to locate and navigate between. For example, in Quick Keys mode, which creates a virtual view of the document, you can move between them simply by pressing E or SHIFT+E.
The same situation applies to sections in a Word document. In NVDA, locating sections and moving between them is extremely difficult. In JAWS there are several ways to do this, including using S and SHIFT+S in Quick Keys mode.
If NVDA is going to be used more widely in professional and educational environments, support for Microsoft Office, Word, and Outlook really needs to become stronger and noticeably better.

Folks, how can I effortlessly move my Tweesecake account to my dragonscave.space account, making sure all messages, followers and friends are moved? Apparently several options exist, but all seem to be much more complicated than the promised ease, and I'm worried I may end up losing everything.

@artin I've been mostly an alpha user and tester over the past 3 years or so. But this time around, the 64-Bit alphas have more serious add-on issues. Namely ColumnsReview and BrowserNav, two of my major add-ons, either don't work or don't function properly. So I can't use the alphas daily. Also the alphas, at least when used in portable mode, can't read menu items in some apps or fail to read the entire window in some others. As for image descriptions, they're, IMO, absolutely useless and misleading at this stage unless NVAccess does something serious about it.

@NVAccess@fosstodon.org Thanks for the explanation! As I'm an alpha person, switching to RC or beta has these oddities for me - LOL! Once 64-Bit becomes more stable and a couple more add-ons become compatible, I'll switch to alpha.

@NVAccess@fosstodon.org It's odd. I'm running NVDA V2025.3.1rc1 on my work machine, but when I check for updates, I'm told no update is available.
