@b0rk@social.jvns.ca @kaced@infosec.exchange I used to have this problem when I tried to switch to an alternative search engine around 10 years ago. I solved it by using a map application (Google Maps back then, and Mapy.cz now) to search for places and normal search engine for the rest. Nowadays this has become so much of a habit that I don't realize most people search for places in generic search engines.

@stragu@mastodon.indie.host au boulot on reçoit automatiquement les résumés via Gemini des réunions Google Meet. Si on est plusieurs dans la même pièce, tout ce qu'on dit est attribué à la personne qui s'est connecté sur l'ordi de la salle de réunion. Une fois j'ai rejoins la réunion en retard. Le résumé indiquait que j'avais donné mon avis sur un sujet discuté avant que j'arrive. Et puis il y a le jargon interne de la boîte que l'IA ne comprend pas...

It seems there would be something to learn in this parallel she is making between those two information revolutions. But it is not obvious to me. The only thing that I can guess is that the current revolution we live in has probably not settled down and it will take another few decades at least. 1/2

Donc hier vers 17h50, le dit collègue répond à mes commentaires dans la merge request, pour me dire que si si, augmenter la version qui décrit la structure du conteneur (pas ce qu'il y a l'intérieur) est une bonne idée et tout le blabla. Ce matin à 6h30 il a rajouté plus de commentaires et à fusionner la branche. Soit le gars ne comprend pas pourquoi il tord; soit j'ai tord mais il n'est pas capable de me le démontrer; soit il n'a rien à faire de ce que je lui dit.

Le collègue qui demande à une IA de lui générer une checklist pour les releases du projet.

Résultat la checklist contient un truc qu'il n'est pas nécessaire de faire à chaque nouvelle version: augmenter la version du format des documents.

Mais la checklist ne contient pas ce qui doit être fait: une nouvelle branche git, un tag, etc...

Bref, le #slop arrive au boulot, et c'est pas beau à voir...

It might be wrong, but it is probably enough for them to sell ad space for a good enough price.

@Varpie@peculiar.florist @noybeu@mastodon.social I think Meta takes the right to link your phone number to FB or Insta account if registered there. You (and I) should not be concerned by this. Furthermore they recently suggested me to add an email to "protect" my WA account, I suspect this is another way to link you to some central account db they have. There is also the "Channels" which requires (or used to at least) accepting additional terms. I believe these are all the ways Meta might collect data about people for ads.
