Other getting old innovations: I discovered that computer glasses are a thing. That is, special prescription for the computer screen ~2 feet from your face. Not distance, not readers. Maybe this will help further unfuck my posture (been leaning in to see the screen better)
After years of fucked aspirational posture in a sit/stand stool I am buying a fancy grownup office chair. Found a used furniture place nearby where I was able to sit in:

The Leap was by far the most comfortable (and attractive) and they’ll clean it up nice for me and it’s $500, about a third of the new retail price!! Unreasonably excited.

@aphyr omg the airport near me gives out PAPER TOWELs via motion sensor under the mirror, the same (damp) place you get soap from.

I showed my dad how to use archive.is to get around paywalled articles, and now he emails me asking me to do the "archive.is trick" every time he finds a paywalled article he wants to read 🫠
