Good morning Famichiki! There is some more maintenance planned today, this time on the Pixelfed server. Starting around 10am JST (just under 2 hours from now), we're going to bring the server down to migrate the database and webserver to a new host. This is expected to take up to 2 hours, but if all goes well it should be up sooner than that.

Hello, Famichikizens! In around half an hour, the server will undergo some brief maintenance as we move Elasticsearch to a new system. The server will need to be restarted, and may be a little bit slow and/or throw an error when attempting to search. If all goes well it shouldn't take more than a few minutes. We'll update when it's done.

Alright, we're back - for now. Our host screwed us again with 6 hours of emergency maintenance. Because the storage was being sporadically disconnected from the servers, Famichiki had to be shut down to protect data (especially the database VM).
Fingers crossed they're done, but we'll be monitoring server performance closely and may be forced to take things offline again.

The bad news is we've had to revert to a backup, due to issues with our host. It's from Sunday morning, so posts from the last 3 days will be unavailable.
Efforts will be made to restore the data if we can get access to it.

Good morning, Famichiki! We're seeing some performance issues at the moment but the cause is not obvious, so we're going to take the opportunity to upgrade to 4.5.7 and give everything a reboot. In around 10 minutes (at 10:30am JST), we'll be applying software updates and restarting the servers, so there will be a few minutes downtime.

For anyone experiencing payment failures on Open Collective since December: some cards may require re-authorization due to backend changes during the handover from Brian.
The easiest fix is:
1. Cancel your recurring contribution
2. Restart the recurring contribution
After that, payments should resume as normal. If you run into any problems or need help, please let us know. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued support!
