today on This Is Cool: we're getting a new VS paddle game for the Mega Drive, and a new spinner controller! the kickstarter says the spinner works the same way as the Mega Mouse, so in theory you can use that instead if you already have one or use this controller with other mouse games

and of course this happens right after DX Complex's web host went out of business. we don't have our forum anymore whose primary purpose was as a failover in case Discord went down because I couldn't convince anyone to primarily use it. i can and should go spin up an IRC server but what's the point? am i gonna have to choose between keeping in touch with 99% of my friends or avoiding yet another toxic waste dump of a platform? i feel silly getting upset over a chat platform but this is all so exhausting
i am looking forward to the inevitable exodus from discord to some shiny new place that's as bad as or worse than discord instead of something reasonable that already exists like IRC. you can lead a horse to water...
