@ldottxt@kind.social I'm with you. I'm sick of sanitation and euphemism and how we've been coerced to use it on social media. Only person I give a pass for "unalive" was Deadpool from the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, likely done to poke fun at censors because Spider-Man was able to say "kill."

@ana@starlite.rodeo I can only imagine the frustration involved in educating the community. If you make a "family friendly" educational video or kids' show about queer identity that avoids even talking about sexual activity, it'll still wind up labeled as "pornography" by the puritans. We live in messed up times. The issue with sex workers is a whole other heap, too. Humanity needs to fix its relationship with sex.

@pzmyers "The big question in my mind is always going to be what are you going to do about it?" That's an excellent way to cut to the core of the issue. I get scared of sectarian Christians gaining power because I know a lot of them want to abuse that power to my detriment. It's not the beliefs, but how they *act* on them. I've got disagreements with secular Christians, but I'm willing to work with them, just as I would a secular Muslim. Despite our differences, we often have common cause.
