Been slow on working on any gunpla (plus had a hard time getting logged in on here)
Anyways, I am working on the Hyaku Shiki
Gunpla! Not super active on this account 💜

Haven't done any work on gunpla since finishing the Gangsuso. Work around the house and other hobbies have consumed my time while I let my fingertips heal. My intention is to start the HG electroplated Hyaku Shiki next. 🫶🏻
Baraag is switching providers for DNS & CDN. Will probably be down/unstable for a while. Usually doesn't take longer than 8-24 hours, so could be up anytime, or could be down overnight
Happy Easter 🐰🐣🍫
My friend's son-in-law and granddaughter were injured by the warmongers bombing of civilian areas in Ardabil, Azerbaiçan Province, Iran. The family's home was damaged last summer by the Zionist's bombing, and now this.
The meaning of words matter. The definition of "terrorism" is the "calculated use of violence against civilians". Being very generous with the definition of "civilian" to include defense contractors and embassy personnel, I count less than 100 American civilians killed by Iran and their proxies based on the US Embassy and Consulate page's documentation of "Terror attacks" since 1979. Americans and Israelis killed more civilians on the first day of the war in just 1 attack, 160+ schoolgirls and teachers/school staff. In just 4 weeks, more Iranians have died than Americans in 4 decades. This mirrors the asymmetry between Palestinian and Israeli deaths.
The Chinese company GaoGao has released a reproduction of the P-Bandai RG RX-78-2 Hatsune Miku anniversary Gundam! It's about $23 on AliX, much better than the scalper-priced $100+ PB kit! I'm hoping that means someone will release the RG Zaku II kit soon, but, if not, I might have to get the Gundam in a couple of months!
My latest build is something a little different, the MG Gangsuosi from Black Trojan Horse. You might have heard it referred to as the GunZoid or GunZilla, a design primarily based on the RX-78-2 that combines elements of the Eva Unit-01 and Mecha Godzilla!
There's a lot of praise for non-Gundam mecha kits from the Chinese, such as the Motor Nuclear series or SNAA's Knights of the Round Table, so I decided to give this a go when it first came out before there were any reviews.
I did not know that the design was not a Chinese original, but was uncredited from a fan artist on Reddit and Instagram. However, that was only a drawing, so at least the sculpt, construction and molding was by the Chinese.
Unfortunately, the quality is definitely inferior to how others describe the Chinese originals or the reproduction of the Japanese kits.
Sure, I have had to force, file, and/or glue the occasional part on many models, even Bandai kits, but it's like there was at least 1 problem in every section. There was even a ball joint on the left hip skirting that just snapped using the minimum force necessary to get it into its socket. The right went right in, but the left broke and needed gluing. So many pieces required a rubber mallet just to get close to flush. The gun is a very cool design with a breach load, but I could not get its notch to line up with the tab in the palm, so it's loosely held in the fingers and wobbles!
My ruling: probably worth the $20 I spent on it with a coupon, but I definitely wouldn't buy another one.
An interesting note, a second version came out, recoloured in the Eva Unit 1 scheme. A few reviews on YT claim it is an easier build, but the price has increased to around $32. I probably will not get it.
Happy St Paddy's Day!

This is the KK Toys reproduction of the Premium Bandai HG RX-79 [G] Gundam Ground Type with Parachute Backpack kit. It includes everything that came in the standard Ground Type kit from KKT, including waterslide decals suitable for any unit in the 08th or 07th MS Teams.
What separates the premium kit from the standard is an extra runner of weapons for the YHI 6ML-79MM Missile Launcher (pictured) and a net gun, 2 runners to build the parachute pack, and 2 small runners for the GM head, so you can make Karen Joshua's Unit 082 as seen in the second half of the OVA, and that is how I assembled it.
This is as good or better a kit than the previous review. It does have a mix of side and back gating of pieces, which I find a little annoying. I am unsure if this is also the case with the genuine Bandai kits, but I believe they are all side-gated based on experience. While this required extra snipping, it's not a major drawback. The actual assembly went easy, only requiring the extra force of pliers a couple times on the inner structures. I did not have to use any putty or shave any joints to assemble it.
The cost was just over $20 dollars with coupon and taxes, much more preferable to the $90+ that the PB kit costs from secondhand sellers like Amazon!
This kit definitely gets my recommendation, especially for fans of 08th MS Team!
My latest build was WaiMei's reproduction of the Premium Bandai HG Riko Zaku II RIKO Ver. This is essentially a recolour of the HGUC Zaku II 2017 kit, with slightly improved joints over the classic 2003 kit.
The kit included sticker decals identical to the Premium Bandai kit. One of the elbow flank decals got messed up when I attempted to remove it with tweezers that were too sharp, but rest worked as well as any Bandai sticker decal. I did not use the decal for the monoeye. I painted the pink part black and used one of the 3d cabochon decals I purchased separately.
There were 2 issues with this kit. The ball portion of the wrist joints attached to the hands were tok small for the sockets on the forearms, but this was easily remedied with puddy. The second issue seems to be a factory mistake, 1 missing runner with the soft skirting piece. Others that have purchased this kit mentioned having it. Fortunately, the kit also included the molded plastic skirting attached to different runner as an optional build. In the place of the missing runner, I received 2 extra runners of the dark grey joint pieces. This was fortunate since one of the runners was poorly cast, so I still have 1 extra runner for back up on a future build.
For a <$20 model kit, it was a fun build, but I couldn't imagine paying $60 or even $90 for the Premium Bandai kit from resellers! This was my first Chinese kit from WeiMei, but the quality is the same as JMS or Star kits. So, I am not expecting any major problems from the other WM zaku kits I have.
I missed the halftime show watching 1941's Tortoise Beats Hare. I regret nothing! 🐰
