Not a post I wanted to do, but I am still not getting my disability benefits. I have completely run out of my funds, so in addition to finding money to eat, I need to also complete the PC build, to keep searching for work since my laptop is dying. Since I would need to cover for monthly expenses plus find cheap RAM somehow in this day and age. I would appreciate any help, even 1 dollar. For refugees: You can use your OFPRA birth document. You need to enclose an integral copy of it that is atleast 3 months old. You can also ONLY apply to the Tribunal judiciaire of Paris, so keep all that information in mind while doing your CEC.

If you are a transgender foreigner in France, unable to change your gender and name in your country and with residency here, please consider doing the CEC before the 20th of May, at which loi Rodwell would most likely pass without issue.

It deeply disturbs me that no protests have happened yet, considering it's basically an anti-refugee law that also affects name change.

If you want to do your dossier really easily, I highly recommend using https://administrans.fr/cec/

If you need support letters (or temoignages) you can request them from your friends (even those that aren't of French nationality), your co-workers, your co-volunteers in a nonprofit or even nonprofits (associations loi 1901) themselves.

If you need help filling the CEC, you can also look towards the Fransgenre Discord, which is a great supportive trans Discord association here in France.

FUR/HELP can also help you prepare the CEC paperwork.

@mynameistillian@plush.city One thing though to keep in mind, France is the worst choice humanitarian visa wise, unless you are ready to perfect your French and survive through discrimination quite literally, since you are also Kazakh. I atleast don't look Kazakh so I don't get as much crap. Maybe actually second to Germany, but it's still quite crap.

@mynameistillian@plush.city That's just heartless. Have you also applied for humanitarian visas, you should be able to given you flee Kazakhstan. Wish FUR/HELP could just apply straight away on your behalf, but Europe doesn't really care to give people barrier free access to those. Honestly, I'm disgusted, even though I am myself a refugee thanks to a humanitarian visa.

An important note to everyone that plans to seek asylum:

Don't do asylum as the first thing, please consider immigration before asylum procedure, if you can. Asylum seekers face discrimination and various scrutiny, just because they reject the protection of their country by entering the procedure itself.

No matter where you flee from, you would face difficulty as an asylum seeker, be it inability to work, be it low government assistance, be it even lack of housing. It depends on where you flee, however you would still face difficulty, even if you have money set aside.

You would be asked to give out your passport, you would need to prove you are personally in danger of persecution. You would need a pretty strong case. You would be stuck in this gray status for months at best, for years at worst. You would also not be allowed to leave the country during all this.

FUR/HELP would be there to support you, however we nor anyone else can guarantee you a positive decision.
