And all of that is not taking it account the fact that AI/LLM are an ecological disaster, and re-enforcing our dependency on big US tech companies.. It baffles me that smart people are rushing (and pushing others) to use it, just because it looks cool.

@alecmuffett I guess it depends where you live. The network really depends on the amount of connected phones close to the tag. But I haven't really looked into it much.

@frenck A good automation I have not done yet but heard of is to disable the camera notifications for 5 minutes when the door was opened. In the things I did do, I created a script to open the door and added it to my Android Auto to quickly unlock my door when I arrive home

But, a toot stating that is no reason to celebrate, we want concrete laws to be passed in order to take actions against climate change. Saying it's an issue won't change anything. Less talk, more actions!

@kevinjardine@mastodon.social @jmaris@eupolicy.social @kde@floss.social Windows is collecting lots of information about its users as explained in their own documentation: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/privacy/data-collection-windows Some of it cannot be turned off and most of it is hidden away so people don't turn them off. Looking it up will yield lots of articles about how badly they are spying on you
