“Hello, I am a cat. Here is my bum.”

"Behold, for I am a feline. I grant you audience to my rear end.”

“Meow. It's dangerous to go alone. Have a look at my bum.”

"In gratitude for scritching my fuzzy chin, I shall provide a view of my ass.”

"Good evening, I'll be your cat tonight. My bum.”

And the challenger picks... IRON CHEF BRITAIN!

…wait, what? There's no such Iron Chef! What's he going to do, gourmet beans on toast?

SpaceX won't learn anything from developers or IT. You never do a launch on a Friday evening, FFS.

@bitchboss@marcella.masto.host @randahl@mastodon.social You might as well have them remove the character limit on toots, too.

Limitations drive creativity. That statement is often repeated by teachers of both art and design, because it’s true. There is something about human minds that leads them to inactivity when given an unbounded canvas.

I have a few characters left now; look at the creativity of game designers in the 80s when they had only a few kilobytes of RAM to use.

@lowqualityfacts@mstdn.social 4D vision is great when combined with Temporal Reach. The lemur can pick some berries over in Thursday, then reach back to grab a nice juicy leaf from Monday and wrap the berries up burrito style. Then the lemur can have eaten it an hour earlier and is now just about to hit the food coma stage when it hops up to a nice sunny spot in Wednesday afternoon to take a snooze.

Why do magazines assume you know their name, then crop the front-page photo so the celebrity head covers up the title?

What is the name of the fucking magazine? I can't see the full name! Stop assuming I naturally know what it is!

In Billy Jean, right after Michael sings "remember to always think twice", it sounds like he then contradicts himself by singing "don't think twice". But this is probably a misheard lyric; I now think he might be singing "DO think twice.”

The difference between an alcoholic and someone who just likes to drink, is that someone who just likes to drink knows when every local liquor store (off license) closes; an alcoholic knows when it opens.

Kash Patel just uses breaching equipment.

There are no elections here in Brighton & Hove; that stuff is scheduled for next year. But with the history we've had since 2024's elections—where I voted Labour—I’d no longer consider Labour, and both the Tories and Reform are too ridiculous to consider. That would leave Greens, Lib Dems, and independents.

For the #Greens, I'd like to understand their thinking behind ditching NATO and our nuclear deterrent, and building up the army against growing threats.

S3, E5 of #Silo: Simms says he knows how to make it impossible to kill Juliette, which turns out to be by making her mayor. FFS they already established in Season 1 that it's not impossible to kill the mayor in the Silo. WTF?

I've been reading the books, up to Book 3 now. Spoiler: Juliette comes back in a mecha-suit with machine guns and rocket launchers and throws Bernard down the central stairwell, Emperor Palpatine style.

Someone assigned a perfectly good word, like "priapism", to something really stupid, when it could be used for something cool, like a crystal that splits light into different flavours of cake.

I declare war against web sites and apps that download the full post, but hide all but the top 4 lines behind “Read more”.

Just display the whole post, FFS. My mouse has a scroll wheel, you are not saving screen estate, you're pissing off the user.

No more “Read more”.

Most surreal memory of Iceland:

We were driving around Rt. 1 and found one of those pull-over areas next to a canyon with a stream running through it. When we got out, it was really quiet, except for the bubble of the water nearby.

Then we heard this wheezing sound. It was echoing off the canyon walls, but eventually we realised it was coming from overhead. A regular gasping noise, like someone out-of breath.

It was a crow, wheezing on every wingbeat. One lone asthmatic corvid flapping past.

The person with the most to hate about #AI will be a farmer with a house next to a noisy data centre, water and electricity bills doubling, all calves stillborn, and land contaminated by chemical discharge.

Their new computer will cost double because of DRAM spikes, all the software will break because it's vibe coded, while all the content is slop.

Their 401K will crash from exposure to #SpaceX and BlueOwl. Their daughter will get GrokDefrocked, and son commit suicide from AI psychosis.

Things I would buy:

Stockton Rush-branded raspberry jam, sold in squeezy-tube dispensers.

Souvenir bottles of Fukushima Daiichi forbidden holy water.

Sachets of pulverised White House ballroom.

Chunk of rubble from the Three Gorges Dam.

SpaceX Starship-shaped firecrackers.

One of the letters taken down from signage on the Kennedy Performing Arts centre.

OpenAI swag from a bankruptcy sale.
