@Terry@poa.st Boots on the ground for all sorts of reasons just isn't viable. Nigger-trannied Bean Force Delta Woke fighting the (((good fight))).
Stuffing your military full of the very people we used to punk around and laugh at for their military ineptitude, now on behalf of a tribe notorious for being anything but intimidating warriors (the only thing they do furiously is soil their military-issue combat diapers).
I'd suggest a ground-war would harken back to Napoleon's critical strategic loss at Moscow, in that we could take Tehran but still lose, but I'm not even sure the Grand Zogbot Army of the Republic would get that far.
Well, that leaves shock and awe. Bombing. Air power. Gunboat diplomacy.
Great! Uncle Sam has loved that shit since WW2, and naval dickwaving since before that, from when White naval might was actually a decisive force.
Well the technology gap seems to have been closed some. Naval power-projection isn't so decisive if then enemy has the means to power project an explosive dildo up your ship's assholes. Likewise if an enemy refuses to stay down then bombing means nothing.
One of the central pillars foreign policy is built on is the idea we can sail a carrier group right up into your shit and bomb you into submission.
Well submission only works if the enemy is willing to concede, and we're now having critical issues with the bombing side of the equation anyway.
In Vietnam we had the munitions to drop and still lost because the enemy didn't cry uncle, with far more pristine demographics.
In Afghanistan and Iraq we had enough munitions for short flashy invasions and then low-level plinking at each other. Couldn't beat the enemy, lost.
Now we have Iran, a completely avoidable and stupid war in a time of imperial decline, we can't realistically put boots on the ground, we can't get our strategic toys ('bombing') into play fully, and we can't sustain this tokenistic "artillery duel" due to the post-peak MIC and off-shoring of industry, and recent demands on stockpiles (thanks Ukraine, another avoidable pointless conflict that ate up far too much of our munitions).
All that's left is the crying.
