I would watch a romantic comedy about a catgirl and a doggirl trying to navigate the cultural differences that result from them being queer on the internet two years apart from each other
sometimes, looking at the modern state of discourse™, it feels like meaningful and considered ideology died a long time ago, and now everyone's just cargo-culting the words without the meaning and saying *that's* what they believe.

@scy@chaos.social to be fair, your brain stores memories in chapters it differentiates with "thresholds", so it's actually very normal to forget everything when you walk through a door - stuff before that room was literally just archived away
Google's proposed workaround for sideloading unverified apps requires 9 steps, a mandatory 24-hour waiting period, and is delivered through Google Play Services, not the Android OS, meaning they can silently kill the feature later without even pushing an OS update. Essentially, they're trying to boil us slowly enough that we won't escape the pot. Don't let them.

Even worse, I think this is gonna start a turf war, because they've clearly broken the Only Theme-Focused Dicefests Are Allowed To Have Sciency Spacey Themes treaty of 1995.
I legit get so confused these days when people talk about modern tabletop eurogames.
They're all like, "Wow, I love Galactic Cruise, even more than I liked SETI!"
And I'm like
"how the fuck are you supposed to tell that these are eurogames, they aren't entirely brown and about subsistence farming in somewhere called Fjuskorfh"
I think it's extremely funny that in the furry community, conniving scoundrels helpfully self-identify themselves by having fox fursonas.

I think it's very funny that the modern strategy seems to be "if your IP is terrible, make something legitimately incredible in a different medium using the same IP to bring everyone back" (ex. Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Arcane, Ark The Animated Series)

i say this in jest but i know at least one person who definitely has this exact thought process
i find it really funny that kink seems pretty common among ace people, because it implies that the thought process is "Sex? That sounds boring. Oh, there can be ~contraptions~ involved? Well maybe that's worth checking out actually, I do like contraptions."
