While GPL allows for selling the software it's infeasible to do so since you can get one for free so it's unprofitable. In fact the GPL requires that you make others know that they can get it for free. That's why corporations hate GPL. Nobody's selling Blender and even the kernel itself for example cause you can just get one for free.

@lumi @cwebber Rust was made by a corporation (Mozilla) from the start so I don't know why you would expect it to be against proprietary products when it's also a corporate product.
