Friends, I really like where i live. I fit in well mentally and physically) with those 2 decades older than me.
However, lately, one has become seriously depressed, and several we have been close to either have, or are slipping into different types of dementia.
Some days, I just need a little time with those who can understand my physical and mental issues, and aren't already slipping into dementia.
I need that friend I try to be for them.
That is why I come here. Even if I mostly read and lick like.
Some days, I need a friend to bounce writing ideas off of.
Some days, I just need someone to remind me there is life out there. Somewhere. Beyond the walls of our community.
A week ago, we went out, and I saw a walking trail. I felt the urge to go test it. For a split second. Knowing I wouldn't make it ten feet (admittedly, it was someone's driveway that looked like a dirt trail in the woods). I've mostly forgotten what it was like to walk miles a day.
Thanks for being here!
