I repost pictures I like and talk about mostly video games. I also commission things sometimes and write cringe.

Oh no no no, this can't be bros, I was told it was Nintendo holding back Game Freak from making quality games, what do you mean they're actually just talentless hacks?

Wonder how many of Nintendo's games include a gay little rewind feature now.
Pikmin 4, a game which is already piss easy with almost 0 challenge at all, has a rewind feature which just allows you to instantly undo any kind of mistake. What kind of person is so brain dead they can't handle going back to the onion to grab more pikmin?
Fire Emblem has been including some sort of time reversal mechanic since Echoes, I feel like this was the genesis of this trend for Nintendo, but at least it somewhat makes sense here, though I would argue that just getting rid of % based hit and crits would fix the issue of [I just got hit by a random 1% crit that's bullshit!] syndrome.
There's of course all the emulated games in Nintendo's library, which i'm pretty sure the rewind tool is built into the emulator, so folks have been abusing the fuck out of that to take away the challenge any old game might have had.
Nintendo's commitment to finding ways to make games even easier such that "baby game" is too weak of a descriptor for how easy the game is, is almost impressive.

Whiskerwood has been a city builder I've seen shilled a few times on jewtube, I decided to check it out and it do indeed be pretty good.
The closest comparison I would say is Timberborn, though Whiskerwood has a much stronger focus on logistics and production chains compared to Timberborn.
There's also a lot more reason to expand and be aggressive about expansion in Whiskerwood, since you have a tax burden that you need to pay to your home country/king, and you can only do so in resources and goods, but not every resource and good has value, so you're encouraged to explore refining resource or look into growing things like cotton, a resource that you won't be able to refine for quite some time because of the research required.
There's quite a lot more going on that make it somewhat complex and satisfying such as every colonist belonging to a guild which provides bonuses based on what work they are assigned, or education and craftsmanship levels. Looks like there's also a way to set up factories and conveyer belts so I'll be looking forward to that.
