I think I remember a case that involved the same situation and if I remember this correctly, he fled to Peru to continue doing his horrible deeds and was reported again to the authorities and when a news reporter crew went to his new hideout, he already fled. I don't know how it ended because I didn't follow up the case and the news was forgotten shortly after in my opinion. It is incredibly mindblowing how stupid thoe people were.
